You are Pregnant!!

Ok ladies, this post has absolutely nothing to do with child development, but I just couldn't resist.
A little bit ago I wrote a post on my blog about when I found out I was pregnant. I think it's such an exciting time in our lives. Anyway, do you guys wanna share some stories about how you found out about your pregnancy/pregnancies? I just love those stories!!!

LOL Paty, I love this post! Although I didnt have an interesting "pregnancy found out", it was SUPER exciting. We were trying for a month, it was the second month we were trying and waiting to get to my period time to see if I was pregnant or not. And I WAS!! I remember feeling like I should take a home test and we went to the store and bought it. Got home and took the test. It was positive. My husband was with me and we cried together!!!

Now I am excited to the next pregnancy found out. :)

Haha, I like this post, I can't wait to hear all the stories. They are always good :)

#1- Well with my first we had been trying for about 6 months...then all the sudden I was eating like crazy. My hubby took me out to eat and I ordered 3 huge mushroom burgers. I think he thought I was going through some fat stage or something; he looked horrified. Yes, well weeks later we found out I was pregnant.

#2 - My first was only 6 months old and I started getting super moody and my belly that had started to go flat started to get round again. We were preventing pregnancy so I was in denial for a while but finally took the test and sure enough I was pregnant. I didn't want to have any more kids after the worst delivery ever, so I cried and cried and cried. Of coarse I'm so glad I had #2 now!

#3 - We got an answer to prayer to have another "no matter what happens" so we took my IUD out; my husband then got laid off and we found out that my son had a heart condition and would need heart surgery, 2 weeks after the IUD was taken out I was pregnant! I was a wreck though with everything going on and hormone changes, I cried all the time! But so glad I have my sweet baby now.

Brad and I were trying for about 9 months, and on the same week of our first anniversary we decided to take the home test. We were soooo happy and excited to find out we were expecting...it felt like Christmas morning!

I already shared mine on Paty's blog today but here it goes:

I went to Walmart one day and decided to get a pregnancy test "just because"...Well, we had also started trying to get pregnant so I was a little curious to see if I really was so I got the "First Response" one which tells you 5 days before your period if you are pregnant or not. Well, I was so worried I was going to bump into someone I knew at walmart so I hid it under some other things. That day I had to take Jasmine to the doctor so I got home, took the test, saw that it was negative, and threw it in the trash. I took Jasmine to the doc (she was 5 months at the time) and the whole time I kept thinking about that test, that I should look at it again. So first thing when I got home I got it out of the trash and just kept starring at it. It had 2 lines but the other one was so faint you could barely tell it was another line. So I didn't really think I was but deep inside I had some hopes. I decided to wait a couple days to take another one and and it came out the same way...I scheduled a doc's appointment to check for sure and I really was pregnant! We were so happy.
Everything is so easy with your first pregnancy. I was happy all the time, life was good, I couldn't wait for that baby to come out! Now I'm soooooo scared of getting pregnant again, especially because it would be #3! I keep thinking how different my next pregnancy is going to be from my 1st one and it freaks me out! But this is a whole different post...hehe

With Nicolina: I had a miscarriage the month before I got pregnant again. My period never came so I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I was so happy but also very scared.

Lionel: Pretty simple...my period was a few days late, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Nicci was like 5 months or so. We wanted our first two kids to be close in age so we were very happy.

Jordan: Lionel was like 4 1/2 months and was super fussy and I was not thinking about getting pregnant any time soon. My period had not started yet cause I was still nursing. I started to act very emotional and my milk started to dry up. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I was so shocked!!!

Ok, I just realized that I didn't post my story, oops. So I've actually been pregnant four times. The first two ended in miscarriages, the third was twins and I'm currently preggo!

The Twins:
We were at a family reunion at a ranch in Wyoming. Saturday, I started feeling cramps and was sure I was going to get my period any minute, I kept going to the bathroom to check but nothing. I was super uncomfortable because I was out of my element and I really just wanted to go home. I didn't want to feel miserable (w/ cramps) at the camp. That night I told my husband that I wanted to go back to Rexburg cause I didn't want to spend the night there with my period, (I wasn't really prepared). We left but I never got my period that day. The next morning I woke up early and took a pregnancy test (I was not late, I was barely supposed to have my period) even though I was sure I was going to get my period I was hoping I was preggo. I took a cheap test from the dollar store and it was positive (but faint line). I then took a digital test and it was positive too! I woke up my hubby to tell him the good news.

Current Pregnancy:
Well, I'll summarize my whole story, but it was something like Aline's. I for some reason took a test, came out negative. I forgot to throw it out and a couple hours later I came back and it was positive. The box said that results after first ten minutes are void. So, I tested again. It was negative (at first), but a few minutes later, there was two lines. I still wasn't sure so I went to the store and bought a digital test and sure enough, it was positive! We are super excited!

E ele começou a rir e chorar sem parar e me abraçou e nós choramos juntos... Foi muito especial!

With Thomas I was so anxious that I never waited until a missed period, I just took the test a few days before to get it over with. The one time I really thought that I was NOT pregnant I was, Johan and I were both there when the second line showed up and we were super excited.

With the twins, I was/wasn't wanting to get pregnant (it depended on the day) and so when I missed my period, I kept telling myself that it was just because I was still a little irregular, and didn't take the test until a week and a half later and only because Johan made me do it. While the 5 minutes went by, Johan and I were talking and I was trying to convince myself and him how I couldn't be pregnant and how I wasn't going to look at it, he would have to read the result... and then I accidentally looked and saw the "pregnant" thing written on the little screen and started crying. Looking back, it's kind of funny, Johan was way excited and kept laughing.
