Welcome!

Hey everybody! I'm so excited to finally start a blog about motherhood- Let's share ideas, experiences, suggestions, struggles, tips, photos, stories, articles, anything you want! As long it has to do with being a mother. This blog will also help us to get to know other young mothers out there who go through the same things we do.

So to kick things off, I want each of you (if you are a mother) to leave a comment on here introducing yourself. You don't have to give specifics if you don't want to, but be sure to tell us how many kids you have and any ideas or suggestions for what you would like to see on this blog.

*Let the fun begin!!*

Great idea Aline! My name is Heidi Miller. I have 2 kids and am just days away from having my third. Alex is 3, Rebekah is 1, and this one (we don't know the gender yet) will be just 15 months younger than Rebekah. My husband is a law student and we in our last semester here at the University of Iowa. After he is done, we will spend one year in DC for a judicial clerkship and then he has a job at a law firm in Phoenix, AZ where we will go after that. As far as what to see on the blog. I am unsure, but sometimes it is nice when people share their hard days and how they cope with them. Gives me good ideas and reminds me that I am not the only mom out there who has hard days. :)

My name is Patty and I'm a mommy to almost two-year old twin girls Aubrey and Naomi. I have the blessing of being a stay-at-home mom and enjoy every moment of my daughters lives. I guess I would like to see tips about potty training your kids cause that's the next stage for my girls.

Good to hear from you girls!
Heidi, one of the main reasons I created this blog was exactly that. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only mom that goes through certain things but it's so not true. Everyone has hard days! And sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone. Anyway, I am so excited to learn from all of you!

Hi,I am Rebeca, I have only one child (for now), Rachel and she is 19 months-old. I LOVE being a mom and being pregnant as well. For me, pregnancy is one of the most amazing times of women life and I look forward for my next one.

My name is Barbara. I have two beautiful daughters: a 2 year old and a 5 month old. I'm a stay at home mom enjoying all that comes with it. I look forward to posting and reading in this blog. I think it is always a good idea to know that people out there go through the same experiences as we do. Nice support system for sure.
I'm one of those 'crazy' people that love to be pregnant and have babies. I don't know how many kids I want to have, I just know I'm not done yet :)

I'm excited about this blog, I wish we had this idea when we first started having kids, but it's still going to be very helpful I'm sure!
I'm Audrey and I have an 18 month old daughter, Tiffany. I LOVE being a mom, not so much being pregnant, so my next one is going to take me lots of courage, but I'm starting to get excited about it. I have been a stay at home mom since she was born, but now, for financial reasons, my husband and I decided that I should get a job for a while. I would actually like to talk about this with other moms, because I'm struggling with whether I should start investing in my professional career or just get a temporary job. My ultimate goal is to raise my kids, but it might do me good to have something I can do when things slow down!

So glad you're doing this Aline! I need a mommy outlet :) My name is Liesl Ridley, I have 3 kids. Elizabeth is 4 1/2, Daniel is 3, and Cleo is 4 months old. I'd like to be able to vent on this blog and hear that I'm not the only mom that goes through hard times with her kids. Also I'd love to see fun ideas of things to do with little kids.

I'm Anna and the proud mom of Thomas, 17 mo. When Thomas turned one Johan and I thought we might be ready to start trying for baby #2. Of course before I had real time to think about it, I got pregnant, and at our first appointment we found out that we were in fact expecting twins! We were extremely surprised and I am still trying to get my mind around the idea of going from one to three kids.
But I do love kids and I love being a mom. Every day is a challenge and I love laying down every night knowing that despite some lost battles, I conquered the day.
I'm excited to be able to hear and learn more from other moms as we share our experiences.

Hi, I'm Amy. I have 2 beautiful daughters. Emma will be 3 in April and Leah is 19 months. I'm a stay at home mom, and it has it's ups and downs. I get lonely a lot and stir-crazy, but I wouldn't want anyone else taking care of my sweet babies. It gets easier as they get older, although Leah still doesn't sleep through the night. I'd like to know more about getting kids to sleep through the night-any suggestions. Also, Emma still sleeps with a binki. I definetly need help weaning her from that. She's very attached. One more thing is Emma has been potty trained for a long time, and does great-even through the night, but she is scared to poop on the toilet. She asks for a diaper, and no matter what we bribe her with-she won't poop on the toilet.

Anyway, I'm excited to read about other mom's ideas. Thanks Aline!

Hi! My name is Camila and I guess I am the only one here so far who does not have kids yet. We are expecting our first baby though, a girl! I am very excited and scared at the same time because I haven't really experienced motherhood yet and I am still learning about my pregnancy but I am very excited to read and learn from those that have more experience than me, I am sure anything you guys talk about will be very helpful! =)

Hi, I'm Camila Wilson. I've been married for almost 6 years to a wonderful man (who last night just sent me to bed and took care of cooking, feeding, bathing, and putting our girls to sleep because I wasn't feeling good). We have two sweet daughters, Isabel who is two and a half, and Sophia, who is 9 months. They are my full time job.
My whole life I dreamed of becoming a wife and a mother. I planned and prepared. I dreamed and I conquered. But now that I'm here, I realize it's a lot harder than I thought. There's frustration, and a feeling of inadequacy. Anxiety at times, or some days filled with boredom. However I can also say I have never felt so loved and needed. I've never grown as much as I've been growing. I have learned to enjoy and treasure the sweet joyful moments of my roller-coaster days, as well as understand little by little what pure love is.
